Dear Strive Patients and Friends,

Due to the rapidly evolving situation related to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) we want to let you know how we are caring for you, our patients. We understand the issue of needing continuous care on the one hand, while also wanting to practice good social distancing. Here are the steps Strive is taking to provide treatment in the safest environment possible.

  • We will see ALL patients experiencing any Coronavirus symptoms via telemedicine only. It is our understanding that all major insurance companies have agreed to cover telemedicine visits just as they would a typical office visit. Telemedicine visits can happen in the comfort of your own home through an electronic device such as a cell phone, tablet/notebook, or computer. Our staff is ready and able to help you get connected.
  • In order to effectively implement social distancing, over 95% of our patients have already transitioned to telemedicine appointments.
  • We are able to accommodate immediate openings for new patients. In most cases a new evaluation can be performed via telemedicine so patients may stay in their homes.
  • TMS Therapy. By transitioning all of our medication management patients to telemedicine, this has allowed us to create a more isolated and safe space for TMS patients, who must come into our clinic for care. Please review the information below to find out what we are doing to make your TMS visits safe.

For questions or to set up a new appointment, please call our office at: 801-337-8277.

TMS Therapy & Patient Safety

It is clear from feedback we have received that existing and prospective patients want to continue to receive TMS Therapy. Rest assured that we are taking all necessary precautions and continuously monitoring the COVID-19 situation so that you can continue to receive treatments with peace of mind. Here are steps we have taken to ensure patient safety:

  • We have implemented several preventive measures in our clinics, in accordance with recommendations from  Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
  • In addition to our rigorous cleaning process, the CDC protocol has been applied to our clinic, and specifically TMS chairs and rooms, and all common areas.

Four Things You Should Know

1) Avoid Waiting Rooms
We suggest that you avoid any common areas prior to or after your appointments. When you arrive for your appointment you may call us to check in. We will then text you when you are free to come in for your appointment.

2) Come Alone
We always encourage you to bring a family member or friend to your treatments. At this time, we would strongly encourage you not to bring anyone with you to your treatments, unless you are a minor. This will minimize the possible spread of CODIV-19 virus.

3) Sick or Not Feeling Well?
If you have flu like symptoms please call and reschedule your appointment. If you aren’t sure, call one of our staff to discuss.

4) Cleaning
Many viruses including the Coronavirus can be eliminated by routine sanitization and surface cleaning. Whenever possible, Strive uses hospital-grade disinfectants to attack the virus via wide-spectrum microbial activity. We have also placed hand sanitizers in key areas of the clinic and will require all patients to wash their hands prior to their appointment.

If you have any concerns or questions about your treatment please contact us at 801-337-8277. Please know that we will keep you informed of all developments so that you can complete your TMS treatments with peace of mind.

Sincerely,
Strive Mental Health & TMS
